A dramatic matching set of Catalina Wine Cups and Wine Pitcher are ready to add *Old Hollywood cachet to your collection. The Wine Pitcher is signed and in excellent factory condition. There is an “in the making” pin point dimple on the neck and a spot of kiln lifting on the bottom as shown in the photos. Creamy white glazing over brown clay.
The 8 matching wine cups have 2 marked Catalina and 5 cups that are early brown clay ink marked versions. Some have slight crazing inside and all are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

*This actual set was purchased by early collector Jon Rippey from the Marion Davies Estate. Marion Davis was an actress famous for being William Randolph Hearst’s mistress and hostess extraordinaire at San Simeon until Hearst’s passing. The estate sale was held at her Rancho Mirage home, but it’s likely the set was used at her huge Santa Monica beach house in the early 30s. Also featured in our Catalina book.
