This exceptional Lamosa Tile depicts a striking charro and his horse in a desert scene. It is white clay, intricate glaze colorations, showing some very minor surface wear, as shown in the photos. No cracks or repairs. This tile is simply one of the best examples from Lamosa ever made. *Lamosa stands for Ladrillo, Monterrey, SA" and they employed many of the same glazes and techniques as San Jose Workshops as Mexico began to make more ceramics specifically for the American Market during the 1940s.
