San Jose Workshops artisans created scenes from the legendary Don Quixote adventures on these 2 Tile Wall Plaques. Very rare. 2-6” tiles make each scene with Don Quixote astride his horse Rocinante and Pancho Sanza on his donkey, Rucio. These richly colored hand-glazed tiles are framed in repro black wrought iron and the ring holds a pot (#5 Bauer works well). They are not grouted, but are securely velcroed in and can be removed. This is the set pictured in Susan Frost's "Colors on Clay" pg 30 and also is in Norman Karlson's Encyclopedia. In mint condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. Ready to hang.
Each measures 20" x 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" deep at ring.
