Vintage Malibu Potteries Moorish Wall Plaque is a gorgeous example of this famed Pottery by the Sea that only operated for a few short years in the 1920s at the locale of the original Spanish Land Grant. Today the Adamson House Museum at the lagoon (near the pier) shows examples of the tile they were also famous for. Fewer examples of their pottery surfaces but we've had this one in our collection for years. The cuenca technique used raised lines to contain the various glazes.
Measures: 12 1/2" Diameter. This piece had a few minor glaze skips, and worn areas on the raised lines and has been professionally and invisibly restored, so it's fully discounted at this price.
